A beautiful piece of writing Helen. Thanks for sharing and giving us a gracious sentiment - not always remembering those precious times in our life. Love and light Elainexxx
My Dad worked for the same engineering company for 50 years after leaving school at 14.
He was the provider to the family and my Mum the homemaker. Meal on the table at 5 p.m every evening, and Dad with a lager.
He spent his final days in a care home too, with Parkinsons and Dementia.
However, an Angel appeared to take care of him. A woman I use to go to school with was a carer at his home. His recognised her, which was wonderful to witness as he was frequently forgetting his family.
She was the last person to see him alive on Christmas Day when he passed away.
Gorgeous piece, reminds me of the Ram Dass quote: we are all walking each other home <3
Yes it very much feels like that, thank you Liis xx

They walk amongst us ❤️
Oh bless, how lovely. Yes we have carers too that have such deep affection for this new Dad that we have and that is a real blessing. x
