The more solid your roots, the more solid you will feel during any storm.
The Banyan tree places many, many roots into the earth. He knows that the greater expanse of the soil, rock, and sediment below him will hold him in good stead, allowing him to stretch, to grow and to become his greatest self.
Your roots are your inner being. Your roots are your connection to the earth, your connection to the part of you that expands far beyond the physical self. Your roots are the peace in your heart and in your mind.
You may well feel as though you have weathered many storms and are battered to the core. Perhaps you have hunkered down and shut yourself off from the world as it is all too much. The answer lies not with changing what is outside of you, but what is within you.
Knowing, feeling, and expanding peace in your being, in your heart, is what will get you through any storm. Knowing, feeling, and expanding love in your heart, is what will keep you safe. Knowing, feeling, and expanding in your being the knowledge that you are far more than just your name is what will bring you wellbeing.
These are your roots.
