Have you ever watched children who are given a piece of paper and some crayons, and watched how they play with the colours and the strokes of the crayon with wild abandon? They do not care what they are creating, only that they are creating!
When did you lose that sense of freedom?
When did you begin to worry so much about what others thought or how they saw you that you abandoned all creative endeavour, fearing it was foolish. That it had no place in your new life as an adult. When did you forget your beautiful inner child that longs for nothing more than your wildness?
Creativity and art arenβt about what you create, they are about who you are. They are a channel for Divine expression, an opportunity for you to shake off the shackle of adult stiffness. True art is not the end result you produce for others to admire, it is in the allowing of yourself to be free. To play. To bring out paper and pens and markers, and fabric and sewing needles, and every other instrument that has the capability to create something.
Art is who you are, and you donβt need permission, except for the permission you give yourself.
Be free, remember your wildness, remember your young self. Allow the creation energy to move through you and see how it lifts you high into a place of love and delight. Today is the day.
Todayβs Declaration:
βI know that a creative force is what made me, that it is who I am. Today, this week, this month, I will allow myself to feel the freedom of this creative force once more. I will allow my inner child to play, to create, and to be. I will return to my natural instinct to bring colour and magic back into my life. Today, I gift myself the space and time to remember the power of my own free spirit. I reclaim my wild freedom once more.β
